Make care easy to repeat
Keep your case and cleaning cloth in a consistent place. Follow the instructions supplied for your particular lenses and frame; care requirements can differ between materials and coatings.
Check before wiping
Look for dust or grit before rubbing the lens. ZEISS recommends lukewarm water for heavier soiling and a suitable microfibre cloth. Use a cleaning product approved for your lenses according to its instructions.
Keep the cloth clean
Store the cloth away from dirt and wash it according to its care instructions. Avoid using clothing or paper tissues as your everyday substitute, and do not experiment with household mixtures on coated lenses.
Protect the frame between uses
Use a suitable case instead of leaving glasses underneath other belongings. Check the manufacturer’s guidance for heat and storage. If the frame becomes bent, loose or repeatedly slips, have it inspected rather than bending it yourself.
